Trump vs Biden

The re-election campaign of US President Joe Biden declared on Saturday that it had raised more than $187 million in the first quarter of 2024—nearly twice as much as it had in the same period the previous year.

Biden campaign Secured More than $90 million in March 2024 alone

The campaign raised more than $90 million in March alone, up from more than $53 million in February, when Biden secured the Democratic Party’s candidacy. Additionally, the team disclosed that it has $192 million in cash on hand—the largest sum ever accumulated by a Democratic contender at this stage of the campaign.

Prior to the election in November, Biden’s campaign has been raising more money than Donald Trump, his Republican opponent. Experts credit Biden’s position as the incumbent and backing from Democratic predecessors for that.

Barack Obama and other Democrat Bill Clinton hosted a lavish event

Alongside Biden, former Democratic presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton hosted a lavish event in New York City in March that raised an estimated $25 million.

The campaign claimed that all fundraising channels, which in the past have included Biden’s campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and joint fundraising committees, were responsible for the monies revealed on Saturday.

Campaign got 1.1 million donors

According to the campaign, over 1.1 million donors made over 1.9 million contributions in the first quarter, with 96% of contributions being under $200.

It further stated that it had over 212,000 recurring donations, which was more than twice as much as it had at this stage of the 2020 campaign, when Biden had surpassed Trump.

6 Week paid media campaign at a whopping $30 million

A $30 million, six-week paid media campaign is being launched by the campaign in battleground states. It will include ad buys aimed at voters who identify as Latino, Black, Asian American, or Pacific Islander, as well as supporters of Nikki Haley, who ended her long-shot challenge to Trump for the Republican nomination early in March.

According to the campaign, Biden has been to every battleground state in fewer than 20 days, and in March, surrogates took part in 69 campaign events.
